Micro-nutrients

Micro-nutrients are elements obtained from food. Unlike macro-nutrients (carbohydrate, protein, fat), micronutrients do not provide energy (Kcal). But they are essential for the functioning of the human body. These are vitamins and minerals which we need in small amounts.

Vitamins are divided into 2 categories

The fat-soluble ones (require fat to be absorbed) which are A,D,E,K and the water-soluble ones (require water to be absorbed) which are the B vitamins and C

Vitamin B1- stress reduction
Vitamin B2-enhancing hair health
Vitamin B3-good functioning of the nervous system
Vitamin B5-enhancing macronutrient metabolism
Vitamin B6- protein formation and participation in the production of
serononin (hormone of joy)
Vitamin B7-enhancing fat & carbohydrate metabolism
Vitamin B9 (folic acid) -repair of DNA
Vitamin B12- enhancing memory & concentration
Vitamin C- enhancing the immune system,
Vitamin D-protection of bones, teeth, participation in hormone production, improvement of psychology, cancer prevention
Vitamin E-Prevention of thrombosis & atherosclerosis
Vitamin K-Coagulation of blood
